Our Hiring Process

Stage 1

Application Review

Our hiring team will review your application carefully upon receiving it. Highlighting relevant experience (including internships or projects), analytical skills, or policy familiarity will strengthen your application.

Stage 2

Initial Interview (Optional)

If there’s potential for a good fit, a member of our Talent Acquisition team may reach out to schedule an introductory video call. This is a chance for us to get to learn more about you, share insights about the role, and answer your questions.

Stage 3

Test Assignment

If shortlisted, you’ll receive a two-part test assignment:

Part 1 – Content Moderation: A short exercise where you will review and moderate sample cases in line with BandLab’s Community Guidelines.
Part 2 – Data Investigation & Analysis: Analyze a small dataset to identify potential trends and propose data-backed recommendations.
Stage 4

Interview

If your test results meet expectations, you’ll proceed to an interview with our Community Standards Lead. This interview usually lasts about 1 hour and gives us a chance to dive into your previous experience and your thought process when moderating and analyzing data.
Stage 5

Final Interview

If we find that your approach and values align well with our team, you’ll be invited to a final conversation focused on team fit and next steps.

Stage 6

Offer

Time to make a decision — if there is a match, we'll offer you a spot on our Community team! Our Talent Acquisition team will fill you in on all the details of your offer and address any questions you may have.
